If it's your first time getting acupuncture and you are unfamiliar with the practice, those "firsts" can be a little intimidating. We've prepared some frequently asked questions that many first-time patients have, so that you'll know what to expect. You'll see that it's easy and straightforward with a little knowledge ahead of time!
How do I get to Suite 406?
Wildwood Medical Center is located at the intersection of Old Georgetown Rd and Rock Spring Dr. It is a four-story building with white/off-white walls. Take the elevator to the fourth floor and follow the signs to suite 406.
What should I wear?
It is best if you wear something that allows you to expose your arms up past your elbows, and your lower-legs past your knees. Loose clothing that rolls up easily is ideal.
I found the clinic and walked in, but no one is at the desk?
Don't worry, we'll be with you in a moment! The chime at the door lets us know you're here, and we're likely assisting another patient at the moment. Just a have a seat and we will be back shortly.
How many sessions will treatment take?
The nature and duration of the treatment is of course determined by the individual, but it is our philosophy that you should get well in as few sessions as possible. Some clinics may unscrupulously take advantage of your unfamiliarity with acupuncture and drag out treatment until you "magically" get better on the n-th session (and n-th payment!), but here at AcuHerb Clinic, if your problem can be resolved in just one visit, then it will be resolved in just one visit. If your condition does not respond well to acupuncture, then we will alert you to this possibility as soon as it is apparent to us. We are insistent on efficiency, efficacy, and good ethics here at the clinic.
How do I pay?
We accept cash, checks, or Visa/MasterCard. We do not accept Discover or American Express at the moment, sorry.
